Director of Middle School

Hampton Roads Academy is looking for an energetic and accomplished leader to take on the role of Director of Middle School. Building on a robust academic and co-curricular foundation, the next Director will create an engaging and vibrant learning environment for students, while effectively preparing them for the challenges of upper school.

The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated passion for working with middle school-aged students; a strong ability to foster interpersonal relationships with students, parents, and colleagues; and the capacity to cultivate a culture of academic risk-taking, innovation, and creativity to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Hampton Roads Academy, an independent school serving Pre-K through 12th grade in Newport News (VA), is recognized for its dedication to academic excellence, a supportive environment, and a holistic educational approach.
