Job Description
Children’s Community School (CCS) seeks an enthusiastic, thoughtful, and community-centered enrollment professional to serve as its next Director of Enrollment Management & Parent Engagement. Located in Van Nuys, California, CCS is a progressive TK–6 independent school distinguished not only by its approach to teaching and learning, but by the depth of its relationships and the strength of its community. Families choose CCS because they are seeking more than an education for their children; they are seeking a place where children are known, affirmed, and encouraged to grow with confidence and purpose. Partnership with families is foundational, and the life of the school is shaped as much by its culture of belonging as by its academic program.
As the school looks toward its next chapter, CCS is deepening its investment in enrollment and community partnership in ways that reflect both its mission and its aspirations for the future. Beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year, CCS will launch a Transitional Kindergarten program, creating a new entry point for families and expanding the school’s earliest connections with children. This moment represents an opportunity not only to welcome new members into the CCS community but also to build greater continuity, clarity, and intentionality within the school’s enrollment practices while preserving the warmth, care, and personal attention that have long defined the admissions experience.
Reporting to the Head of School, Azizi Williams, and serving as a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Enrollment Management & Parent Engagement will oversee all aspects of recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and re-enrollment while guiding meaningful parent engagement across the life of the school. The Director will serve as both strategist and ambassador, helping prospective families feel seen and understood while ensuring that the school’s enrollment practices are thoughtful, cohesive, and mission-aligned. The successful candidate will be a visible and trusted presence within the community who brings organizational strength alongside genuine care for families and who is inspired by the opportunity to contribute to a school where relationships, belonging, and shared purpose shape the life of the community.
