Job Description
Recruitment
· Create and implement a strategic three-year Enrollment Marketing and Recruitment Plan that strategically grows the prospect and applicant pool of mission-fit families.
· Manage recruitment events on-campus: open houses, academic and curricular events, athletic events, fine arts events, and campus tours.
· Plan and implement an effective program of building relationships with local Preschools, Kindergartens, K-8 Christian schools, and area churches for the purposes of recruitment.
· Work with the Head of School to find and engage additional new relationships in order to build the constituent base of ACA.
· Work in collaboration with the Director of Communications and Marketing to conduct regular and seasonal communication plans that include social media, promotional mailings, and public service ads as well as paid ads in local media venues, e.g., newspapers, magazines, and radio stations.
· Have a strong working knowledge of the admissions and advancement databases, platforms and management software utilized by the academy.
· Public speaking: Be able to share your story and the ACA story with potential recruits and supporters. Learn about the ACA program, curriculum, co-curricular activities, and community of grace. Be able to identify and communicate the meaning of the ACA brand to all constituents.
· Attend special events to represent ACA in the community. Host those events as appropriate on the ACA campus to bring the community to ACA.
· Recruit and retain mission-fit international students and oversee the international and domestic homestay programs.
· Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have a people-oriented nature in order to build relationships with prospective and current school families.
Admissions
· Manage each prospective student file through the process of acceptance.
· Provide timely follow-up to school inquiries, including the arrangement of a campus visit and follow-up communication. Manage the admissions funnel to process applicants as swiftly and effectively as possible.
· Perform initial interviews with prospective families as needed to determine whether they meet ACA’s admissions requirements.
· Collect, screen and complete application data until it must be turned over to the designated administrator for the family interview.
· Coordinate the scheduling of family interviews with the Head of School, Division Heads and Business Office.
· Decline applications and communicate with families who do not meet admission’s policy standards.
· Give campus tours to inquiring community members, parents, and student candidates.
· Identify prospective students who have learning or behavioral issues and involve the Director of Academic Support for applicants who may require special services.
· Acquire and maintain all necessary standards and expectations as required by SEVIS.
· Create and develop various means of internal communications to inform academy constituencies of the progress, growth, vision, and mission success of the academy. Report regarding class enrollment size, wait pools, and possible concerns over potential for over or under-enrollment in certain classes.
· Provide regular reports on enrollment to the Head of School, the Division Heads and Business Officer.
· Track inquiries and prospective students/families and ensure that annual admissions data and tracking is accurate and accessible; develop and execute statistical studies and surveys as needed.
· Ensure Exit Interviews are conducted with any departing families.
· Become familiar with the students at ACA. Build relationship with students. Develop students who can be ambassadors for admissions and donor relationships.

Required Professional Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher.
· 3-5+ years of professional experience required in an educational admission related field.
· Leadership experience preferred.
· Demonstrates a high level of computer literacy, having proficiencies in Microsoft Office, Outlook, accessing the Internet for instructional purposes, and use of ACA’s school communications and management software; experience using FACTS/RenWeb a plus.
· Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the supervising Director or Administrator.
· Can clearly articulate a Biblical philosophy of education.
· Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information.
· Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Required Personal Qualifications
· Acknowledges Christ as Savior and seeks to live a life grounded in grace and obedience to Him.
· Believes the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God—the
standard for faith and practice (Article II, ACA By-Laws).
· Believes and actively supports the By-Laws of Asheville Christian Academy (attached to application).
· Demonstrates a desire for spiritual growth as evidenced by his or her prayer life, Bible study, and spiritual service to others.
· Stands as a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others (Luke 6:40). This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct (ACA Lifestyle Statement/Declaration of Moral Integrity attached to application).
· Demonstrates the fruits of mature Christians, has a knowledge of Scripture, and has a fundamental understanding of key doctrines covered in the By-laws.
· Has a Christ-centered home.
· Actively participates in a local Bible-believing church.
· Is in agreement with the Statement of Faith, Christian Philosophy of Education and Core Values of Asheville Christian Academy.
· Appreciates Christian Education and is committed to helping ACA meet the instructional needs and overall wellbeing of all students.
· Presents Jesus Christ first and Asheville Christian Academy second.
· Demonstrates a collaborative style of work, and a spirit of problem-solving and joy in service.
· Maintains a professional appearance indicative of a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty in dress, words, and actions consistent with school policy and the teachings of scripture (Philippians 4:8-9).
