The eighth Principal of Appleby College will be a visionary, globally minded, entrepreneurial leader with a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a culture of belonging. Reporting to the Board of Governors and working collaboratively with the Head of School & Deputy Principal and the broader Leadership Team, the Principal has overall responsibility for the School’s strategic direction, educational experience, administrative excellence, fiscal sustainability, and community engagement. A strategic leader and relationship builder, the Principal will advance current and developing aspirations and plans, balancing school traditions with a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

A co-educational day and boarding school for 800+ students from grades 7-12, Appleby is one of Canada’s leading independent schools. Appleby students also enjoy Outdoor Education programming at the McLaughlin Northern Campus, located on Rabbitnose Island on Lake Temagami, 500 kilometres north of the main campus.

In addition to the core school operations, Appleby offers highly regarded summer and March break camp programmes, academic credit and enrichment courses as well as three unique, comprehensive boarding programmes designed for international participants, and Camp Kandalore, one of Canada’s premier overnight camp and canoe out-tripping programs.
